The ever changing legal and regulatory requirements that impact industry place various responsibilities on organisations that use welding equipment, and they can often be difficult to keep track of.
All LEV (local exhaust ventilation) equipment requires a statutory periodic ‘TExT’ (Thorough Examination and Test), by a competent person, electrical equipment should be inspected regularly, and certain industries require welding equipment to be validated to ensure it performs within tolerances and welds correctly.
