Meet the Team
James
Service Director
James has worked at Rapid Welding for longer than he cares to admit, starting out as the tea boy and eventually working his way up to Manager back in 2015, finally becoming Service Director in 2022. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to Welding machines.
Outside of work he can be found in his garage working on one of his cars.
Rob
Technical Director
Rob is our Technical Director and mostly can be found in our workshop based in Portsmouth Naval Base, where he looks after all our customers based there.
When he's not tinkering away on his latest project Rob can be found sailing around the Solent on his boat.
Tom
Service Engineer
Tom joined the team in late 2022, he is a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer with many years experience behind him as well as knowledge. Tom will be the Engineer you will meet if you require a site visit.
In his spare time he enjoys building custom motorcycles.
Phil
Service Engineer
Phil is based in our workshop in Portsmouth Naval Base. He is our specialist gas engineer and CNC machining expert. He has many years experience on finding bespoke solutions to engineering problems.
Away from the workshop he enjoys being involved in environmental activities.
Karen
Service Administrator
Karen has worked at Rapid Welding since 2010 and joined the Service Department Team in 2016. If you are calling the department she will be the friendly voice on the other end of the phone.
Away from the office she enjoys going to the cinema, trying new craft ales and is an avid Disney and Harry Potter fan.
